Armenian Exports Plummet by 59.7% in January-February 2025

Armenia’s foreign trade experienced a dramatic downturn in the first two months of 2025, according to data released by the Statistical Committee of Armenia. Total trade turnover between Armenia and its international partners reached $2.785.8 million, representing a significant 52% decrease compared to the same period in 2024.

The data reveals a widening trade deficit, with imports outpacing exports by $703.8 million. Specifically, Armenia exported $1,041.0 million worth of goods while importing $1,744.8 million.

The export sector was particularly hard-hit, witnessing a staggering 59.7% decline year-over-year. Imports also saw a substantial drop, falling by 45.8%.
