Around Physical AI, Engineering and Innovation: Armenia Engineering Week 2026 Brought Together Engineering Potential and International Expertise
The 10th edition of Armenia Engineering Week 2026 has concluded, bringing together in one platform engineering professionals, representatives of the public and private sectors, research and educational institutions, international partners, as well as engineering companies from Armenia and beyond.
Held from October 2 to 4 in Yerevan and Vanadzor, Armenia Engineering Week 2026 opened with a ceremonial launch, followed by thematic panel discussions and talks, an engineering and high-tech exhibition, professional tours, and workshops.
This year’s theme was “Physical AI: Engineering Intelligence for the Real World.” Over the three days, discussions and demonstrations focused on the transition of artificial intelligence from digital environments to physical systems and the development of innovative technological solutions in this field.
A welcome address was also delivered by Bagrat Yengibaryan, Director of the Enterprise Incubator Foundation, who highlighted the role of engineering, high technologies, and artificial intelligence in Armenia’s technological development, the promotion of innovation, and the creation of new opportunities.

“AI is shaping a new stage of technological development, and Physical AI is an important manifestation of this shift, bringing together artificial intelligence, engineering thinking, and advanced technologies to create new solutions to real-world challenges. For Armenia, this is a unique opportunity to leverage our engineering and scientific potential, create new jobs, enter global markets, and position the country not only as a user of technologies, but also as a country capable of solving complex technological challenges. Armenia Engineering Week is one of the platforms for this collaboration, where new ideas, connections, and partnerships are formed,” said Bagrat Yengibaryan.
The opening ceremony was followed by talks from international experts and engineering panel discussions dedicated to Physical AI, addressing the interconnection of science, engineering, and emerging technologies.
An important component of the first day was the engineering and high-tech exhibition, where Armenian engineering companies presented their innovative technologies and products. The G1 humanoid robot, Jivan, was a special participant of the exhibition. Through a live demonstration, the robot showcased how Physical AI can be applied to physical systems and create new opportunities for smart manufacturing.
Gurgen Mardoyan, Head of the Philip Morris PMI Science Research Center in Armenia, in Armenia, emphasized that the development of artificial intelligence should be accompanied by tangible results from its practical application. “The new challenge, as we see in the digital world, is the applicability of artificial intelligence, because organizations are making major investments, but few are achieving real, measurable benefits. I think the same will be true with Physical AI. Therefore, the key challenge is to rethink our processes through artificial intelligence-to change and improve them and achieve tangible benefits,” said Gurgen Mardoyan.
The second day of Armenia Engineering Week also featured engineering and high-tech demonstrations, thematic panel discussions, workshops, and professional tours, giving participants an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of Armenia’s engineering and technology ecosystem.

As part of the tours, participants visited the Science and Technology Museum and the Space Museum, as well as production facilities, gaining insight into engineering and technological solutions and seeing how ideas are transformed into real products and practical applications.
The final day of Armenia Engineering Week 2026, on October 4, continued at the Vanadzor Technology Center. The program included talks, panel discussions, and workshops focusing on the role and engagement of young people in different fields of science, technology, and engineering.
During his welcome remarks at the Vanadzor Technology Center, Aram Salatian, President of the Engineering Association Board, spoke about the connection between engineering and art, emphasizing the importance of creative thinking and innovation in solving engineering challenges and developing new talent. He noted that Armenia is capable of effectively solving engineering problems, but the next step is to create opportunities to imagine, create, develop innovations, and put them into practice. “We need to be able to imagine, create, develop innovations, and apply them in practice. We also need to incorporate art into the development of new talent so that we can create innovations. Today, in Armenia, we need to build these opportunities,” said President of the Engineering Association Board, Aram Salatian.
Over the three days, Armenia Engineering Week 2026 brought together international expertise, engineering excellence, and technologies applied to real-world challenges, creating opportunities for knowledge exchange, new connections, and collaboration.
The event once again highlighted the importance of cooperation among Armenia’s engineering community, science, education, business, and international partners, creating a platform where new ideas can be transformed into applicable and competitive technological solutions.

With a ten-year history, Armenia Engineering Week continues to bring together professionals from the sector and contribute to the development of Armenia’s engineering and high-tech ecosystem and its growing international visibility.
“Armenia – Engineering Week 2026” is organized by the Enterprise Incubator Foundation (EIF) and the Engineering Association, with the support of the Ministry of High-Tech Industry and Artificial Intelligence of the Republic of Armenia, PMI Science Research and development Center Armenia, Huawei Technologies, Emerson – National Instruments, and the EU4Innovation East project, funded by the European Union, co-funded by the French Government and implemented by Expertise France.
