12 YSU students complete training program at Byblos Bank Armenia
12 students from Yerevan State University have successfully completed their practical training at Byblos Bank Armenia, gaining valuable practical skills for a career in the financial sector.
Within the framework of a memorandum signed between the Bank and the University, students from YSU’s Faculty of Economics and Management annually receive practical training at the Bank, where they benefit from the team’s professional experience and guidance.
During the internship, students were actively involved in the Bank’s day-to-day operations, reinforcing their theoretical knowledge through hands-on tasks. They were assigned to departments based on their areas of study and thesis topics, ensuring an individual approach and an effective learning experience.
This year, the program ran from February 2 to March 13, during which students worked across various departments, including the Consumer Operations Department, the Compliance Department and the Bank’s branches.
Among the interns were also several students who are recipients of Byblos Bank Armenia’s nominal scholarships. They, too, had the opportunity to gain deeper insight into the Bank’s activities and explore potential career paths.
Throughout the program, participants also attended professional training sessions covering the Bank’s products, AML/CFT measures, as well as its brand and core values.
At the conclusion of the internship, the Bank’s Chief Executive Officer, Hayk Stepanyan, met with the students, answered their questions and shared his professional experience.
Education remains a key pillar of the Bank’s CSR strategy. Byblos Bank Armenia continuously creates development opportunities for young people, viewing them as potential future members of its team.
