Customer verification system introduced for EasyPay payment kiosks
In compliance with regulatory requirements set by the Central Bank of Armenia, customer verification will now be required at EasyPay payment kiosks for certain banking transactions, specifically for deposit, card, and account replenishments.
At the payment kiosk, customers will be offered two verification methods: via the easywallet app or through imID.
During verification via easywallet, a QR code will be displayed on the kiosk screen. The user will need to log in to their easywallet account, scan the QR code, and confirm the pop-up window in the app.
During verification via imID, the user will need to enter the phone number through which they activated the imID with their mobile operator. A window will then appear on the user’s phone, where they can enter their imID PIN code.
After completing a transaction, customers can make more transactions without verification.
It is important to note that verification data is shared only with the relevant verification system. Data processing is carried out in accordance with applicable legal and data protection requirements.
